Zoë Kravitz has grown up in the spotlight thanks to her famous parents, but she’s been making a name for herself all on her own in Hollywood over the past few years. She is currently one of the stars on HBO’s hit series Big Little Lies, but she’s also been in films like Fantastic Beasts, Where to Find Them, and Mad Max: Fury Road.
From her very famous godmother to her successful other career, here are five fast facts you need to know about Big Little Lies star Zoë Kravitz (Bonnie Carlson).
Famous Godmother
Because she’s the daughter of two very successful people in Lisa Bonet (The Cosby Show) and successful musician/actor Lenny Kravitz, it’s no surprise she’s had celebrities in her life forever. In fact, Kravitz’s godmother is none other than Oscar winner Marisa Tomei, who is a good friend of her mother’s.
Working With Her Dad’s Ex
How’s this for complicated? On Big Little Lies, Kravitz works closely with Nicole Kidman (Celeste), who actually dated her father back in 2004. Though it didn’t work out between the rock star and Kidman, they’re still on good terms.
Stepdad Goals
Not only does Kravitz have famous parents, but she also has a famous stepdad! Her mother started dating future Game of Thrones/Aquaman actor Jason Momoa in 2005, and they officially tied the knot in October 2017.
Band Leader
Along with acting, Kravitz is also passionate about music. She is the frontwoman in a band called Lolawolf, which she named after her half-sister, Lola, and her half-brother, Nakoa-Wolf.
First Movie Role
Kravtiz’s first professional acting gig was during her senior year of high school in the 2007 romantic comedy, No Reservations, which starred Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart.
