In The Beginning
Horstmann was born and raised in Bailey, Colorado with his sister, Tori. He’s a Colorado boy through and through and still calls the state his home. He moved to Denver as an adult. Horstmann grew up playing sports and was very active.

College Athlete
Because he was involved in sports in high school, Horstmann decided to pursue athletics in college. Horstmann enrolled in Hastings College in Nebraska and played college football. He graduated with a communications and marketing degree in 2011 and moved back to Colorado.

Career Man
Prior to joining The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, Horstmann worked in sales. He’s always been interested in business and wanted to be an entrepreneur. He left his job at Coors Brewing Company in order to do reality TV.

Animal Lover
There’s no question about it, Horstmann is obsessed with dogs. He has an adorable puppy named Annie, who he recently showed off on Instagram. But, along with Annie, Horstmann’s social media is full of pictures of dogs. So, ladies, if you want to date Horstmann, it looks like you must love dogs!

Horstmann currently stars on Bachelor in Paradise and has found himself in a bit of a love pentagon, but prior to all the drama, he was the runner-up on Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. Though he appeared absolutely devastated when he was sent home, he won over America’s heart at the time because of his emotions.
