Hannah Godwin was one of the breakout stars of Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, but she was not picked to be the this season’s The Bachelorette. But, good news fans — she’s going to be on this season of Bachelor in Paradise, which will premiere this August!
In honor of her trying to find love on the beach, here are five fast facts you need to know about reality star, Hannah Godwin.
In The Beginning
Like many of the contestants on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, Godwin is from the South. She was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama and attended the University of Montevallo. Initially, she wanted to study photography, but she ended up getting her degree in Business.
Bachelor Nation Connection
Prior to being on the show, Godwin became friends with a former Bachelor contestant, Danielle Maltby. Maltby was on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor and also competed on a season of Bachelor in Paradise. Many fans believe Godwin got on the show thanks to her friendship with Maltby.
While living in Alabama, Godwin started competing in beauty pageants. She won Miss Oak Mountain and went on to compete in three different Miss Alabama pageants. In an interesting twist of fate, one of the years she competed she actually lost the title to Hannah Brown, who currently stars on The Bachelorette!

Made For The Camera
After graduating college, Godwin booked a job as a model for Birmingham Fashion Week. Because she was so good, she ended up booking jobs to model for two major fashion brands, Soca Clothing and Show Me Your Mumu. She still models for a number of different sites and already had an Instagram following prior to The Bachelor
She Dated Who?!
Godwin may have already been friends with a former Bachelor contestant, but it sounds like she actually dated a former Bachelorette contestant prior to going on the show herself.
Godwin went on a few dates with Chris Strandburg, who is best known for being on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette. Though it didn’t end up going anywhere, it’s interesting she had so many Bachelor connections before she even stepped foot on the show.
