It’s officially over for Lady Gaga and Christian Carino. The pop star and the CAA agent have ended their relationship after two years together.

The couple announced the breakup on Tuesday, February 19 following a few weeks of speculation.

The rumors began when Gaga was spotted at the 2019 Grammys not wearing her engagement ring. Not to mention, she didn’t thank Christian in her speech while accepting the Grammy for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

However, though it’s easy to point fingers, sources have told People that there’s no dramatic reason for the split. Unfortunately, it just didn’t work out.

“Their friends knew they weren’t going to work out in the long run. It always seemed Christian was more into the relationship than Gaga was,” a source shared.

“It just didn’t work out. Relationships sometimes end. There’s no long dramatic story.”

Gaga and Christian were seen together at a number of award shows this season, including the Golden Globes and the SAG Awards. This is the second high-profile split for the singer. Her previous engagement with Chicago Fire actor Taylor Kinney ended after five years together.

Of course, a number of fans believe the reason Gaga and Christian split is because she’s secretly in love with her A Star Is Born co-star/director, Bradley Cooper.

While it’s purely speculative, especially because Bradley is currently dating model Irina Shayk, many people took to social media to express their desire to see Gaga and Bradley together.

“I haven’t even seen A Star Is Born and I’ve been WAITING for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper to be a couple!!! May this be the beginning…” one person tweeted.

“How are Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga STILL not together,” another asked.

Somebody else wrote, “Lady Gaga and her fiancé called off their engagement and I have two words… Bradley. Cooper.”
