Word to the wise, never come after Cookie Lyon on Empire! In a flashback clip from Season 5, Cookie puts Devon and Carlito in their place after they questioned the Lyon matriarch about their new song.
“Ain’t nobody going nowhere. And yes, this would be considered an advance. But me and Lucious are paying for this out of our pockets, OK? What you need to be concerned with is making this song and this showcase hot. Then you’ll get your little stacks, OK?” she says in the clip.
