Empire Flashback Video: Andre Tells Cookie He’s Expecting

While Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) have been all about the music, Andre (Trai Byers) has always been interested in the business of Empire — and the one to help keep it afloat during hard times.

In this flashback video from Season 2, Andre tells Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) he wants to be a part of Empire so he can pass the business down to his children. He also drops the news he’s expecting a child with his then-wife, Rhonda (Kaitlin Doubleday).

“Lucious wants the same thing you do. That’s why he’s so hell-bent about getting Hakeem back over there. He wants his own legacy and nothing says legacy like a grandchild.
