There’s been a lot of death on Empire over the years, but arguably nobody has had to go through more over the course of his time on the show than poor Andre Lyon (Trai Byers).
In this flashback video, Andre leans on his mom, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson), following the death of his wife, Rhonda. While he’s not sure how to move forward with his life, he knows Cookie’s been through some tough stuff too.
“I don’t know anybody who lost more than you. And you survived, didn’t you? You’re still here. You’re still fighting,” Andre says to his mom. Watch the clip above to see the entire emotional moment.
