Empire fans love it when Cookie takes center stage and on tonight’s episode at a Lyon family dinner celebrating the upcoming wedding of Andre and Teri, she gets to do exactly that — with shocking results!
In a sneak preview of Empire’s latest episode, Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) raises her glass in honor of the upcoming wedding of her son Andre (Trai Byers) and Teri (Meta Golding). Yes, the couple is already wed, but Andre wants to give Teri the wedding of her dreams.
Squabbles at family gatherings are expected on primetime soaps and Empire won’t disappoint. Watch for Andre to insist that there be no Lyon clan drama at his upcoming ceremony, which, of course, causes tensions to rise.
Cookie tries to diffuse the situation by raising her glass in honor of the happy couple, but then something surprising happens with Teri. Just how much is the pressure getting to her? What could it be? Check out the clip above and don’t miss tonight’s episode!
Empire is currently winding down its final season. The show tells the tale of the Lyon music and entertainment empire and the Lyon clan. Created by Lee Daniels and Danny Strong, Empire debuted on January 7, 2015, to nearly 10 million viewers. The show finished its first season with 17 million viewers.
In 2015, the TV Critics Association TCA Awards named Empire Best Drama. The next year, Henson won a Golden Globe for Outstanding Lead Actress in Television Series – Drama. Empire airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
