Eight Fearless Predictions For Game of Thrones Season 8

This past Sunday, the fourth episode of Season 8 on Game of Thrones, was a roller-coaster of emotion, with incredible highs and heartbreaking lows that are setting the stage for what’s to come for the last two episodes of the series. Here’s what we think might happen between now and the end.

Say Uncle
Euron Greyjoy deserves to rot in hell for taking out a beloved dragon and for being an insufferable jerk — and while it would be sweet justice for Daenerys to be the one to take him out, we’re partial to his niece, Yara, getting that particular pleasure. Hopefully, it will be slow…and painful.

Traitor Beware
Lord Varys already knows he will die in Westeros — the Red Woman predicted both of their passings and hers has already happened. His words of worry to Tyrion about Jon being more suited to rule will probably be his undoing — and it will likely be by Dany’s hand, considering she promised to burn him if he betrayed her.

Death Becomes Her
We know Cersei will die, one way or the (br)other. The prophesy foretold she will die at the hands of a younger brother. BUT — could the prophesy just have seen a face? While we suspect it will be Jaime, it could be Arya having stolen Jaime’s face (after she’s killed him too). Either way, she’s going down.

Climb Every Mountain
The Mountain is on two lists — Arya’s and his own brother, The Hound. We knew there’d be a Clegane Bowl, so to speak, as the brothers need to face off but will Arya be a part of it? Will The Hound be in trouble and Arya finishes The Mountain off or will it be The Hound coming to her rescue? We pick Arya’s the only one to survive…this time.

Land of No Return
Arya said she doesn’t think she’ll ever be back to Winterfell. Two reasons could explain — she dies or she sits on the Iron Throne. We’re betting on the former since Arya doesn’t seek to lead. She knew she had to kill a couple of more people and doesn’t see herself living to tell the tale.

Fatal Flaw
Jon Snow is too honest. It’s what got his Uncle Ned killed, and it may see him suffer the same fate. He’s probably done what he needed to do — impregnate Dany with the true heir to the Iron Throne, so he could be expendable. His goodbye to his friends in the North seemed rather final. Perhaps he realized his fate too.

Going Mad
It feels like Dany is losing it. Everyone prefers Jon be King, he told his family about his birthright over her wishes, her armies have suffered losses, her closest friends have died, and worst of all — her second dragon was killed in front of her. If Jon and Tyrion die, she might go too but perhaps not before she has his child (with a time jump).

Smartest Person She Knows
The only person to realize Sansa’s true potential seemed to be Arya, who did her best to keep her sister safe. If both Jon and Dany die, what if the only one left standing to rule the seven kingdoms is the Lady of Winterfell herself — with Brienne as head of her Kingsguard? It just might happen.
