The all-star cast of international series Glow and Darkness just got even more famous. Denise Richards has once more left Los Angeles where she tapes her role on The Bold and the Beautiful, to do press with some of her co-stars — including Joan Collins, best known to TV fans as Dynasty’s Alexis Carrington Colby.
“Back shooting in Spain…” Richards posted on Instagram adding, “had a press conference today with these icon beautiful divas @janeseymour @joancollinsdbe & the lovely men as well @dominicandersen #glowanddarkness #joseluismoreno #nicholasbishop #joseluisalcaine.”
Glow and Darkness is the creation of writer/poet Alejandro Gillermo Roemmers, who co-wrote the first season with director Jose Luis Moreno.
The series cast includes Richards, who is playing Countess Champagne, and Jane Seymour (Live and Let Die; Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman), and Academy Award nominee Bruce Davison (Longtime Companion; X-Men).
Glow and Darkness tells the story of Saint Francis of Assisi and also focuses on other popular historical figures such as Richard the Lionheart, Pope Urban II (Davison), Leonor of Aquitaine (Seymour), and others. Dominic Andersen (The Crown) plays Saint Francis of Assisi.
No word yet on exactly who Collins is playing, but as you can see in her Instagram post below, her character is (not surprisingly) quite regal. Production halted on the project earlier this year because of the coronavirus. BB led the way with scripted series returning to production. Others, including Glow and Darkness followed, and now, Richards, Collins, Seymour, and other cast members are promoting the project.
Collins recently posted her final day of shooting on the series. After she completed her final scenes, the crew gave her a hearty round of applause for her contributions to the film. “You’ve all been so wonderful and you’ve all worked so hard,” Collins praised her co-workers and colleagues. “I hope you’re getting paid a lot of money!”
TV’s Alexis was asked in the comments section of her post when would Glow and Darkness released? “January I hope,” the actress replied. No word yet on when (or if?) Glow and Darkness will be made available to U.S. viewers. Entertainment Hub will bring details as they become available.
