Dog The Bounty Hunter Star Beth Chapman Dies After Cancer Battle

Beth Chapman, who is best known for starring on Dog the Bounty Hunter with her husband, Duane “Dog” Chapman, has sadly passed away after a battle with cancer.

The 51-year-old died on Wednesday, June 26 in Honolulu, Hawaii, where her family has been living. This comes just a few days after she was placed in a medically-induced coma.

Her husband confirmed her passing on Twitter, writing, “It’s 5:32 in Hawaii, this is the time she would wake up to go hike Koko Head mountain. Only today, she hiked the stairway to heaven. We all love you, Beth. See you on the other side.”

Chapman was first diagnosed with cancer back in 2017 when she announced she had stage two lung cancer. However, despite the scare, she revealed she was cancer-free in December of that year after undergoing surgery.

Unfortunately, her cancer returned in November 2018, and Chapman decided to undergo aggressive chemotherapy.

At the time of her recurrence, Chapman shared a photo of herself and her husband in a hospital bed with the caption, “Another bend in the Road yet not the End of the Road.

After months of undergoing chemo, Chapman officially decided to stop treatment around Mother’s Day this year. This announcement came just one month after she was rushed to the hospital due to breathing problems.

Chapman went public with her decision to stop chemo during a speech she gave at the Source Church in Bradenton, Florida on Mother’s Day, according to People.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people. Sorry, that’s not for me. So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you,” she shared.
