The cult TV series Supernatural, which stars Jared Padelecki and former Days of our Lives star Jensen Ackles (ex-Eric) as Sam and Dean Winchester, who fight supernatural forces that roam the earth, shot its last scene today. As a result, many stars, including actors from daytime who’ve guest-starred on the show, took to social media to honor the long-running series.

A Fond Farewell To Supernatural

“#ThankYouSupernatural,” tweeted Jeffrey Vincent Parise (ex-Carlos/ex-Joe, General Hospital). “Not only did I get to play a dream role, but I was opened to the indescribable world of the #SPNFamily The fully rounded support you show the cast of this show is life-altering ~ Thank you to the writers, directors and producers who chose me to play Asmodeus.” Asmodeus was a Prince of Hell and a retired demonic general, who appeared in Season 13.

“Thank you for the spiders, the sparkles and for setting a standard for a show that isn’t just great entertainment but a movement of acceptance, overcoming obstacles, and learning to love ourselves,” posted Carrie Genzel (ex-Skye, All My Children). “#ThankYouSupernatural to @therealKripke.” Genzel played Linda Bloom in Season 1 and Linda Berman in Season 11.

“#thankyousupernatural I pretty much owe this cast, crew, and execs my entire career,” says Matt Cohen (ex-Griffin, GH). “Thank you for giving me a home, a family, and a damn good time! I owe ya’ll! All of you!” Cohen played the characters of John, Lucifer, and Michael, appearing in Seasons 4-5, and 11.

“Congratulations #Supernatural on ending your run of 15 seasons,” wrote Sebastian Roche (ex-Jerry, GH), “it was such a pleasure to play a small part in this great adventure and the friendships that ensued, love to all of my castmates and love to the incredible fans, #SPNFamily #SPNFamilyForever.” Roche played Balthazar in Season 6.

“Feels silly to even begin to sum up what you all mean to me,” posted Rachel Miner (ex-Michelle, Guiding Light), “or how I cherish all the moments we’ve spent together, but without question I am grateful #ThankYouSupernatural.” Miner played Meg in Seasons 5-8 and the Shadow in Season 15.

“Playing this DICK was a once in a lifetime privilege,” quipped James Patrick Stuart (Valentin, GH). “SPNFamily, we will always be family. #Supernatural.” Stuart played Dick Roman in Season 7.

“I don’t have many #supernatural selfies,” confessed Kim Rhodes (ex-Cindy, Another World). “I think it’s because I was always so happy, I couldn’t bring myself to stop what I was doing to capture the moment. So I shall share a few I have found, this one of my favorites. While we gave kids the sex-talk at dinner, Jensen was making potato art.” Rhodes played Sheriff Jody Mills in 18 episodes over a decade.

But the most emotional would have to be Ackles himself. He paid an emotional tribute before tackling the final script, which you can see below. In the caption, he simply wrote, “It’s gonna be a rough 2 weeks. @cw_supernatural #seriesfinale.”

The 15th and final season of Supernatural will begin airing on Thursday, October 8 and its series finale will be on Thursday, November 19. Supernatural airs on The CW.
