Dancing With the Stars Celeb Chrishell Stause Reveals Her Dog’s Battle

Our furry family members mean everything to us so when one of them is hurting, it is an awful feeling. Dancing With the Stars cast member, Chrishell Stause, revealed on social media that her beloved Gracie has had to wage a battle but is now on the other side of it — and we couldn’t be more thrilled for them both!

Chrishell Stause Opens Up About Gracie’s Cancer Battle

The former Days of our Lives star (where she played Jordan Ridgeway) took to her Instagram account and shared a picture of her little champion, along with a couple of videos, to update her followers about what she has been going through these last couple of months.

“Cause for celebration for Gracie,” exclaimed the actress. “If you noticed a cone on her a few months ago it’s because she had to have 2 cancer masses removed surgically.” The cone of shame, as it is often called by pet owners, helps to prevent animals from bothering their sutures post-surgery.

“She was diagnosed with Carcinoma Cancer which is aggressive so after surgery she started chemo. After finishing her 8 successful rounds she is stronger and as playful as ever! Thank you @vca @aub_hale for your help and to @burbankanimalshelter where I found my puppy soul mate.

“Dealing with this the last few months was something I kept private because I was too scared to think about what it might mean. But seeing her bounce back after treatment makes me want to remind you-if you feel lumps and bumps on your dogs, go get them looked at,” pleads Stause. And she has a very good reason for doing that.

“One vet told me it was probably nothing but after noticing it getting bigger I sought a 2nd opinion and thank God I did. She wouldn’t have had long with this aggressive type of cancer if left untreated. #Fuckcancer #adoptdontshop #standuptocancer”
