Chrissy Teigen Opens Up About Her Body and Pregnancy After Loss

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a few months since Chrissy Teigen announced on social media that she and husband, singer/songwriter and judge of The Voice John Legend, suffered the horrible loss of their third child, Jack. Now the actress and producer is sharing a heartfelt update about how she is doing.

She took to Instagram Wednesday morning to share an image of the current state of her body, in which you can still see a bit of a baby bump, even three months later.

“This is me and my body, just yesterday,” reveals Teigen. “Even though I’m no longer pregnant, every glance in the mirror reminds me of what could have been. And I have no idea why i still have this bump, honestly. It’s frustrating.”

But it’s very human. Something which Teigen shows to her social media followers all the time. She allows herself to be vulnerable, that she and her family endure the same ups and downs as most families out there, when so many on social media use it to only show the bright and shiny side of life.

“But I’m proud of where this entire journey took my body and mind in other ways,” she pointed out. “I love being pregnant, so so much, and I’m sad I never will be again. But I am lucky to have two amazing little ones who are transforming into big little people more and more every single day. Anyhoo. Love u guys. Xx”

When she opened up about the loss of Jack, it was something most women never talk about out loud and it gave those women, who have suffered such a horrible loss, a bit of comfort to know they’re not alone. Chrissy Teigen does this often, giving voice to the quiet parts people aren’t often sharing, and it’s just one of the many reasons her fans love her so much.
