Bachelor in Paradise Star Derek Peth Went To Therapy Following THIS Breakup!

Former Bachelor in Paradise star Derek Peth is focusing on himself following his breakup.

Derek and ex-fiancée Taylor Nolan met on Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise and were inseparable the entire show.

Though they didn’t end up getting engaged on the finale, Derek did propose to Taylor during the taping of the aftershow in August 2017.

While they tried to make their relationship work, they ended up calling it quits in June 2018.

Derek was obviously heartbroken and emotional following the split, but he recently told Us Weekly that he decided to go to therapy to work through his issues.

“Another great thing about millennials is we’re not afraid to talk about mental health and, like, going through therapy and having someone who professionally handles a lot of relationships. And it has real solutions, and so that’s what I did as well,” he said on Friday, February 1.

“And I know a lot of people who have been through similar situations and not being afraid to ask for help is the most important thing.”

Not to mention, Derek heavily relied on his friends and family to get him through those rough moments.

“I think friends and family are huge. And the right kind of friends and family. You don’t want people who just, like, agree and commiserate with you,” he said.

Though Derek is currently single and living in New York, Taylor has recently moved on with a new man.

Taylor has not gone public with her new boyfriend, but we do know that her guy lives in Canada and she has gone on a number of trips with him in recent months.

In fact, on her Instagram, she refers to her guy as “#CanadaMan.”
