Bachelor Colton Underwood Not A Fan Of Tracy Shapoff’s Old Tweets

Colton Underwood is sharing his thoughts on Bachelor contestant Tracy Shapoff’s offensive tweets.

Tracy will be competing to win Colton’s love on this season of The Bachelor, but she came under fire a few months ago after her past tweets revealed she used the R-word, fat-shamed women, and even criticized the very show she’s now on!

Colton told Us Weekly that he doesn’t “believe in whatever Tracy liked and tweeted at the time. [But] I think that’s a growing thing.”

Tracy’s tweets, which were from 2009 and 2010, surfaced after her casting was announced.

“Wish these fat old women on the treadmill would shut the hell up stop dancing and just work out,” she said in one tweet.

“Liposuction is retarded…stop wasting your money and just get your fat ass to the gym.”

And finally, she even bashed The Bachelor in a tweet: “Do ppl really think they’re finding love on reality tv … or am I just the idiot that watches it?”

Yikes.

Tracy released an apology for the tweets and said she didn’t mean to offend anyone.

“I want to start by expressing my sincerest apologies for the extremely hurtful words that I said many years ago. I’m so sorry for those who I have offended. I am beyond mortified that I ever had those thoughts and then proceeded to express them,” she wrote.

“By no means does this reflect the person who I am today. I am not mean-hearted or hurtful … in the many years since writing those tweets I have made a conscious effort not to be judgmental and to be accepting of all people.”

She continued, “I wholeheartedly reject those sentiments … I take full responsibility for my tweets and will use this as a learning experience.”
