Like with every season of The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, fans are desperate to find out if the lead gets engaged during the finale.
More often than not they do end up getting engaged, but every now and then a couple leaves the show without a ring.
For example, Juan Pablo decided not to propose to his winner Nikki Farrelly during his season.
Colton Underwood has not revealed if he gets engaged at the end of his season, but he has said a number of times that he’s very happy with how things turn out.
He recently opened up to E! News about why he’s hesitant to let people in on that secret before the show is over.
“One, I wouldn’t want to spoil it for people. But two, there’s been a lot of ups and downs and I sort of want to take the viewers and everybody on that ride with me. And I wouldn’t want to spoil anything for anybody,” he explained.
As for how the season is going right now, Colton doesn’t mind that there have been a few awkward moments.
In fact, he has embraced the awkwardness and knows that it makes for good television.
“There’s always awkward moments. I wouldn’t say there’s any fully awkward dates. … There’s going to always be those awkward moments and it’s all about how you handle it,” he said.
“I, personally, I don’t mind awkward moments. I don’t mind sitting in awkward silence or staring at somebody when we know it’s awkward, just to see how they react.”
