The Bachelor has been around for years, but the ratings for the show are still staying strong.

In fact, the ratings for the show is growing every week, something that really doesn’t happen for long-running programs.

Though some fans were not happy with having Colton Underwood as The Bachelor, it has been an interesting season so far with some very interesting women.

The season has also brought us a number of great women who would be perfect as the next Bachelorette.

And, according to ABC executive Robert Mills, they may be looking to change it up next season.

“It is important to change a little bit [of] the flavor each season, so it feels different but is still the show that you love. … Like with Colton, we need to take a minute,” he shared with Entertainment Tonight.

“If we’d gone right after Becca’s season, we’d say, ‘It’s gotta be Blake.’ … Is there somebody like Colton where we can say, ‘OK, you didn’t watch last season, but let me tell you about this woman who’s the next Bachelorette.’ … If you can bring people in, that’s a win.”

As of right now, it seems as though the favorites to become the next Bachelorette include Elyse, Tayshia, Cassie, Hannah G., and Caelynn.

Mills also spilled some details about the finale and revealed it’s going to be incredible.

“We actually just screened the finale, and it’s insane. It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen, and that’s speaking after Arie’s, which was like nothing we’ve ever seen,” he said.

“The lesson is always that you have to let it play out real. … We still have to fill 20-something hours of television, but we’ve always been rewarded when we’ve let it play out and not as a game where there are rules that have to be stuck to.”
