It’s not a good time to be a Johnson brother on Days of our Lives. Tripp (Lucas Adams) has been accused of rape – and his psycho mother is back from the dead. Joey (James Lastovic), at least, is out of prison – but the woman he “killed,” AKA Tripp’s psycho mother is back from the dead!
Days of our Lives Polling
Also, his parents aren’t exactly in a good place. Over the whole Tripp accused of rape thing… and his psycho mother being back from the dead. With a set up like this, are the brothers destined to become friends… or enemies? What over 2,000 viewers expect to see happen:
Brotherly Love
No, 75% of the audience, is hoping for a more filial bond. They’re brothers! And now that Tripp knows what Ava (Tamara Braun) did to Steve (Stephen Nichols), Kayla (Mary Beth Evans), and Joey, he can’t really hold his brother’s homicidal impulse against him… can he? He should be understanding. As for Joey, he can’t hold what Ava did to him against Tripp, either. Tripp didn’t even grow up with Ava, so he wasn’t around for most of the bad stuff.
Tripp and Joey need to find what they have in common – beyond DNA – not the things that could drive them apart – i.e. their parents. They could both use the support.
Put Up Your Dukes
A much smaller 25% of you expect to see Cain and Abel: Salem edition. They didn’t grow up together, either. Brother is just a word to them, not a feeling. Plus, add in all the resentment about what went down with Ava, and it’s unlikely they could manage to be in the same room together, much less develop a family bond.
Throw in Joey learning what Tripp allegedly did to Allie (Lindsay Arnold), and there is no reason for them to make nice at all! Sure, Joey seems to support Tripp’s now, but he hasn’t spoken to Allie yet. That could change everything! Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
