Although Arianne Zucker is saying farewell to Salem after two decades soon, Days of Our Lives (DOOL) fans will still have Nicole until the end of the year.
When Soap Hub caught up with Zucker at the 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards Sunday night, she admitted she’ll be taping till June, and she couldn’t be more pleased with her last days on the set.
“If you put forth good work and your co-stars are working with you, you could be written four lines and as long as you’re having a great time doing it, that’s all that matters,” she said.
It turns out she’s having more fun than ever knowing this is almost the end. And, all that fun REALLY helps with Nicole’s weepy scenes, as even Zucker admits her character is always crying.
“I joke around on set cause I am crying all the time,” she said. “So, just know on the flip side of those scenes I am laughing incredibly beforehand.”
One reason Nicole has spent the better part of a year-and-a-half in tears is due to the death of Daniel, the man Nicole was set to marry on Valentine’s Day in 2016. We’ve seen Shawn Christian return to help Nicole through hard times, but will he do it for her Salem swan song.
“I am sure there will be a moment or two in some dream sequence [for a] life-changing decision. Maybe guide her through,” Christian told SH.
Is Christian telling us we get to say farewell to Nicole and Daniel together? And, does Nicole decide to leave Salem on her own to start life anew (with Holly)? It may seem so, but only time will tell.
