Her name is on everyone’s lips in Salem and that’s because the fine people of that town have finally woken up to the fact that something may have happened to poor Sarah Horton! She has been missing for a while and Days of our Lives fans are thrilled that the heroine (and the love of Xander Cook Kiriakis’s life) will be back onscreen.
Linsey Godfrey Returns
Of course, we don’t have much in the way of story details. Is Godfrey back simply in Kristen DiMera’s (Stacy Haiduk) mask form, meaning will she really be Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) or Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in disguise, there to throw Xander (Paul Telfer) off her trail? Will she never make it back to Salem but instead be seen on that remote island? Will she make it back to Salem?
So many questions, so little information, and to be honest — we’re perfectly fine with that! We’re just so happy that the show is finally dealing with what happened to Sarah. We understand the huge wait, we really do. Care had to be taken to slowly move Xander in the direction of a new love so that he would be torn when Sarah reappeared. It’s a soap opera, after all, and there needs to be drama!
But having Linsey Godfrey back, with her adorable self and bigger-than-life presence will be a sight for many, many sore eyes out there who have missed her particular brand of spunky mischief. There was never a dull moment with Sarah around. She went through hell, came out the other side, found love, lost love, had a baby, lost the baby, and we rooted for her every step of the way.
Is she back for good? We don’t know. Will she be amazing in whatever way we see Godfrey? That bet we’ll certainly take. DAYS fans, get ready for a wild ride for all the players in this story — and we can’t wait to watch it unfold.
