The Devil is back in Salem and Days of our Lives has got him! The fallen angel who terrorized Dr. Marlena Evans is currently occupying Doug Williams’s body, but he’s looking for a more permanent host. Who should it be?
A classic is a classic 47% of you remind, and that’s why the Devil can and should only reconnect with Marlena (Deidre Hall). They’ve set Salem aflame before – literally. Plus, you bet Deidre still has those yellow contact lenses handy. This is the story that will bring DOOL back to heights it’s been sorely lacking recently.
You know who would rock being in cahoots with the Devil – Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). She’d dress like the devil, she’d talk like the devil, and then she’d innocently defend that the devil made her do it. Not to mention, if Paulina wants to protect herself from Lani Price’s (Sal Stowers) biological father – who you know is headed to Salem sooner rather than later – who better to have on her side than the devil, suggest 31% of viewers.
Remember all those anger issues John Black (Drake Hogestyn) was having recently? Those went nowhere. Why not put them to good use and let John share some quality time with the Devil? It’ll get Lucifer close to Marlena, which is what he wanted. A win-win for everybody! (And a story for the classic couple that’s different from the last time we all found ourselves here, 13% suggest.)
Marlena has been there, done that, 9% dismiss. Go younger. Go after her daughter. Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) makes the most sense. But that’s the obvious choice. How about Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison)? She’s been the goody-two-shoes of the family. Belle going evil would be more shocking. And more of an attack on John.
