Last year, Days of our Lives fans were sad to see Olivia Rose Keegan leave the show as Claire was carted off to Bayview after trying to kill Ciara by burning down the cabin. And while the role has since been recast with Isabel Durant, Keegan has kept herself rather busy.
The Daytime Emmy-winning actress took to social media to show her fans and followers exactly what she’s been up to this past year.
“Aaaand that’s a wrap on [High School Musical: The Musical: The Series] season 2,” she posted on Instagram. “What a dream ❤. Endlessly grateful to every single human in the cast and crew who makes this show so special. I still can’t believe I get to be a part of it.”
Keegan also posted a photo of her and some of her castmates, which appears to be from an antique shop called Pickers, which hasn’t previously been used on the show.
“Here’s a random lil photo of us at a shop because I can’t really show you anything else,” she wrote.
In the popular Disney+ show, Keegan will play Lily, a new freshman in the school, who hides her insecurity and competitive nature under her sweet demeanor.
Disney+ recently announced that the show’s second season would begin streaming on May 14, though little information about the storylines was revealed. Rumor has it that the students will be putting on a production of Beauty and the Beast this year.
Last year, Keegan made the announcement of her joining the show on her Instagram page as well. Taking a cue from the franchise’s popular tune, she wrote, “It’s the start of something newwwww… Beyond grateful and excited to be joining @highschoolmusicalseries !! We’ve got some fun things planned.”
The show has another daytime connection as well, as General Hospital’s Kimberly McCullough (Robin) is one of the directors, and she posted a photo to Instagram about the series also. “Shout out to our incredible AD team on @highschoolmusicalseries,” she wrote. “Cody, always bringing the joy on set.”
McCullough noted in a previous post that she directed the first two episodes of the year, and there could be more. “Can’t wait for y’all to see what we’ve been up to,” she wrote. “Woo hoo!” Check out the work of these two former soap stars when their show on Disney+ drops on May 14.
