Uh-Oh: Tripp Thinks KAYLA Killed Ava on Days of Our Lives (DOOL)

Well, Tripp finally deduces that his father didn’t actually kill his mother on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) and realizes that he’s covering for someone.

Except, he thinks Steve (Stephen Nichols) is covering for his beloved Sweetness, and not Joey. Whoops! Boy, did he get this one wrong.

Steve told Tripp (Lucas Adams) exactly what he told the cops last year–that HE killed Ava to protect his son. He wants Joey and Tripp to get along, but has made it clear to the teen that Ava was not a good person and there were extenuating circumstances.

According to the May 8 issue of Soap Opera Digest, a conversation with his stepmother leads Tripp to believe Kayla’s (Mary Beth Evans) hate for Ava led her to commit the crime last year, and it’s only logical to him that Steve would want to cover for his wife.

Kayla tells Tripp all about what Ava (Tamara Braun) did to her last year, but leaves out some details as she doesn’t want to horrify the young man any more than he has to be. However, then she lets it slip that she thought Ava was a psychopath.

Tripp can barely believe that his father killed his mother, so it’s easier for him to believe it was someone not blood related to him.

However, this wrong conclusion is going to open up a lot of future story as Tripp is going to keep his new belief a secret for as long as he can. Is Kayla now in danger from this kid she’s grown to care about?
