Suzanne Rogers Returns to Days of our Lives, What’s Next for Maggie?

It’s been months since Maggie Horton Kiriakis scolded hubby Victor Kiriakis or doled out advice to Xander Cook. The character left town to care for her ailing daughter Summer last February and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. But there’s good news. Suzanne Rogers is returning to Days of our Lives. In fact, she’ll be on-screen, next week.

Welcome Back, Suzanne Rogers

So what’s next for Maggie? Expect the character to reconnect with her Salem family and friends. First, she’ll fill Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) in on what transpired while she was away; specifically, what happened to Summer (Marie Wilson).

Then Maggie will do what she does best: offer support to a loved one in need. She’ll pay a visit to Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes), who’s been beside herself over Doug Williams’s (Bill Hayes) mysterious “medical” condition.

Regarding Xander… and Sarah

Aside from Victor, the Salemite who’s been missing Maggie the most has to be Xander (Paul Telfer). She had become his confidant and champion, and he really could have used her the last few months. His life fell apart when “Sarah” (actually a masked Kristen DiMera) dumped him at the altar, and he quickly reverted to his bad-boy ways.

Hopefully, Maggie will quickly meet with Xander, who could use her support now that he’s been jailed for a crime he didn’t commit. And, perhaps, together they’ll realize there’s more than meets the eye to “Sarah’s” abrupt departure, leading to the duo tracking down what happened to the real Sarah.

Meanwhile at the Mansion

Back at the Kiriakis mansion, it will be good to see Maggie interact with Victor (John Aniston) again. He’s missed her calm, comforting presence. And, hopefully, she’ll be able to quell the hostility between Brady and Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson). If anyone can teach them how to behave like loving family members instead of business and romantic rivals, it’s Maggie.

Days of our Lives (DOOL) airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Salem, check out all the latest that’s been posted on DAYS spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
