Over the weekend, Stephen Nichols reacted to an old scene shared by a fan… only to have country superstar Clint Black weigh in on it!
It all started when a Twitter user @Toridwn shared a favorite scene of Steve and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) dancing to the song “When I Said I Do” by Clint Black.” It was a beautiful moment of the two connecting on the dance floor.
When Nichols saw the tweet, he answered, saying, “Yes, I remember being so surprised when I saw this. The direction and editing was beautifully done. Once in a while we felt totally in it. I owe it all to @marybeth_evans1 for always being there for me.”
The tweet was seen by Black, who sent a tweet of his own about how much him saying that meant to him.
“This made my day…, or Days! Thanks for sharing! It’s a true love story for Lisa [Hartman Black, his wife] and me and we’re honored overtime it’s used for someone else’s special moments.”
Nichols responded to the country star, saying, “I enjoy your work too Clint. Thanks for adding more beauty to our moments. It’s nice to hear that the song came from yours and Lisa’s love. #days #PatchAndKaylaForever @nbcdays @marybeth_evans1”
Black’s wife is no stranger to the soap world. She rose to fame on the nighttime soap opera Knots Landing, where she played Ciji Dunne until she was killed. Then she played her lookalike, Cathy Geary, who married Alec Baldwin’s character, Joshua Rush.
