Surprise returns bring families joy, a triangle gets more twisted after an unexpected “I love you,” and the mystery of Abigail’s “death” begins to unravel, according to Days of our Lives spoilers weekly video. Plus, it’s Tate and Holly’s prom night, and all they want is alone time together. Here’s the preview for the week of June 17 – 21, 2024.
Fan favorite Matthew Ashford returns as Jack Deveraux. He surprises Chad (Billy Flynn) and Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) when he suddenly shows up at the Horton house and overhears the pair mentioning him in a conversation they’re having. “Did someone say my name?” asks Jack.
Later, Jack tells a stunned Chad and Julie: “Abigail’s alive.” But is she…really? Chad and Julie travel to Chicago to find the safety deposit box Chad (James Read) told them about and prepare to open it. “We’re about to find out,” says Julie.
Meanwhile, Marlena (Deidre Hall) counsels Eric (Greg Vaughan), who’s grieving the loss of his son, Jude, and his marriage to Sloan (Jessica Serfaty). “No one deserves to be alone,” says Marlena softly. Later, she gives her son a warm embrace.
Across town, Eli (Lamon Archey) arrives on Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe’s (James Reynolds) doorstep, and he’s carrying some precious cargo: his twins, Jules and Carver. They’re both overjoyed to see them.
But where’s Lani (Sal Stowers)? Not to worry, she’s in town too. In fact, Lani joins the family in time to help celebrate Paulina and Abe’s wedding anniversary as she, Chanel (Raven Bowens), and Johnny (Carson Boatman) blow out the candles on a trio of cakes.
Meanwhile, Theresa (Emily O’Brien) may have told Brady (Eric Martsolf) that their night together was a one-and-done romp, but it looks like it’s stirred up some old feelings for her. The couple end up sharing another passionate kiss.
Things are about to get more complicated because later, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) delivers the words Theresa has been waiting to hear: “I just want to say I love you.”
His declaration leaves Theresa absolutely speechless.
Last but not least, it’s prom night at Salem High, and Brady and Theresa have signed up to be chaperones. That puts a major crimp in Tate (Leo Howard) and Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) plans to spend quality time alone together. “We’ll be watching you,” Brady cautions his son.
Tate, however, won’t be deterred. “Nothing’s going to stop us from having the perfect prom night,” he professes. Things do start off happily for the pair when Holly shows up at Tate’s door. After sharing sweet hellos, the young couple fall into each other arms and kiss.
