Konstantin (John Kapelos) told John (Drake Hogestyn) that he blamed The Pawn for killing his beloved Katerina and he activated The Pawn with a card. He later stopped John from shooting himself. Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Everett (Blake Berris) basked in their feelings for each other but she turned down moving in together. Johnny (Carson Boatman) continued to worry about marrying Chanel (Raven Bowens) again. Abe (James Reynolds) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) made love for the first time since his memory loss. Stefan (Brandon Barash) and Ava (Tamara Braun) were overwhelmed with guilt and upset when they got caught by Tripp (Lucas Adams) and Wendy (Victoria Grace).

The Salem police department conducted another drug raid but this time young female office Goldman killed the drug dealer, screwing things up for cops to get him to flip on Clyde. Chad (Billy Flynn) and Everett paid a visit to the drug kingpin and broke the news to Clyde about the raid. He was not happy. Abe and Paulina enjoyed a lovely morning after together until she got a call from the hospital. Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) and Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) discussed their current situations with Theresa (Emily O’Brien) and Brady (Eric Martsolf) and decided to team up since they had the same goals.

Ava and Harris (Steve Burton) met in secret and discussed how they have been working together since she confessed her part in the drug ring. A returned EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) chastised Stefan about the drug bust, seriously ticking off his brother — not that EJ cared. John didn’t open up to Marlena (Deidre Hall) about his evening with Konstantin. Stephanie did open up to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about her rekindled feelings for Everett. Paulina and Abe told Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Johnny (Carson Boatman) that her surgery was moved up to their wedding day.

Steve (Stephen Nichols) and John talked about John’s encounter with Konstantin but Steve still avoided clearly answering John’s questions clearly. Harris confronted Clyde about the recent drug bust and didn’t back down when he threatened Ava — upsetting Clyde. Stephanie told Everett she was falling back in love with him. Sloan hoped for a quiet evening with Eric but again drank too much and whined that Jude was getting in their way. Theresa and Brady talked about their recoveries, as well as the letters they received from Tate.

Alex and Theresa had a night in that led to a talk about how her addiction was a lifelong issue that would not disappear. When Theresa went to hang up his jacket after Alex left the room, a box with an engagement ring fell out of his pocket. Xander and Sarah’s sexual tension continued to rise but Xander kept finding reasons to pull away. While he was gone, Sarah saw a troubling text on his phone that he left behind. Tripp and Wendy made an effort to clear the air with Ava after their tirade about her being with Stefan. Kate (Lauren Koslow) caught Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) when he came out of hiding looking for food at the closed Pub. Harris returned and was not pleased. Later, Harris got a text luring him to a spot where he was shot twice in the chest. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) told Thomas (Cary Christopher) and Charlotte (Autumn Gendron) a story about their family history. After they went to bed, someone broke in, poured accelerant everywhere, and then lit the house on fire.
