It’s the season for trimming trees, being naughty or nice, and lots of presents, according to the Days of our Lives spoilers preview. There’s also a surprise declaration of love for one Salem couple and a long-awaited truce between former friends that ends Christmas on a high note. Here’s your DAYS video preview for the week of December 23-27, 2024.
Believing Doug’s (Bill Hayes) newly arrived grandson, Doug III (Peyton Meyer), is on the up-and-up, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) continues to welcome him with open arms. “Tonight, you’re going to be part of this wonderful Horton family tradition,” she happily tells him.
That tradition being each member of the clan decorating the Christmas tree in the late Alice and Tom’s living room. “The hanging of the Horton ornaments,” chimes in Maggie (Suzanne Rogers).
A group of Hortons are on hand for this year’s tree trimming, including Jennifer (Melissa Reeves), Jack (Matthew Ashford), JJ (Casey Moss), Shawn (Brandon Beemer), Sarah (Linsey Godfrey), Xander (Paul Telfer) and even the rarely seen baby Victoria.

Across town at the Carver home, Abe (James Reynolds) utters the words his grandchildren are dying to hear: “Who wants to open some presents?” His grandson, Carver, yells out, “Me,” and raises his hand while his twin sister, Jules, mom, Lani (Sal Stowers), and dad, Eli (Lamon Archey), look on smiling.

Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) hands a perfectly wrapped gift to his daughter, Rachel (Finley Rose Slater), and Xander and Sarah take the season of giving up to their bedroom. “Let’s see what we can do about getting you onto Santa’s naughty list,” coos Xander to his wife. A moment later, the pair are in bed kissing. Then Sarah opens up a present from her devoted husband.

After his impromptu kiss with Stephanie (Abigail Klein), Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) decides to move forward with pursuing his ex. “Maybe you’d be interested in going out with me?” he proposes.
There’s plenty of partying, too. At Salem University Hospital, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Paulina (Jackée Harry) are on hand when some child patients gather around the tree and open gifts from Santa. And at Brady Pub, Tate (Leo Howard) hosts a birthday party for Holly (Ashley Puzemis). “Surprise,” he yells out as she walks through the door. The celebration turns serious when Tate delivers three very special words to his dream girl: “I love you.”

Finally, Marlena (Deidre Hall) shares a warm hug with her stepson, Brady, while two former best friends-turned-foes reconcile their differences. “Merry Christmas, old friend,” says Jack, reaching out his hand to Xander. Jennifer and Maggie look on as Xander responds, “Merry Christmas,” and embraces Jack.
Julie wraps things up by summing up the true meaning of Christmas. “It’s about coming home,” she tells Doug, and everyone gathered at the Horton home. “The place where we all begin.”
