Salem celebrates the Fourth of July, while passion ignites and hope is put to the test, according to Days of our Lives spoilers. Meanwhile, a pair of heroes go undercover to retrieve evidence, and a doctor worries that she may not be able to save a patient that she loves. Passion and Fireworks
It’s Independence Day in Salem, and fireworks are going off around town. After weeks of being platonic roommates, things heat up between roommates Shawn (Brandon Beemer) and Jada (Elia Cantu). The two former lovers finally give in to passion.
Across town, Belle (Martha Madison) and Chad (Conner Floyd) share a tender moment alone, while Abe (James Reynolds) and Lexie (Nikki Crawford) are enjoying the festivities in the park. “Happy Fourth of July,” Lexie tells Abe. “And many more,” responds Abe, not knowing that his wife’s health is likely deteriorating.
Covert Operations
Two of the town’s heroes are both involved in secret missions. Johnny (Carson Boatman) sneaks into Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) office at Salem University Hospital and puts on a pair of rubber gloves. But what exactly is he looking to retrieve?
Meanwhile, Brady (Eric Martsolf) makes his way into the Horton cabin on Smith Island to acquire some evidence of his own. He’s also donning rubber gloves when he fills a vial with water from the spout in the kitchen sink.
Broken Promises
Later, Sarah opens up to Brady about her concerns regarding Holly (Ashley Puzemis). “I desperately want to reassure her and tell her that she’s fine,” she declares about her niece. “But I don’t make promises to patients that I don’t know that I can keep.”
The camera flashes to Holly, who’s lying in her hospital bed and looking despondent and in pain.
