Salem Celebrates Martin Luther King Day

Paulina (Jackée Harry) is the first Black woman to hold the position of Mayor of Salem and she’s thrilled to share MLK day with the town. This is a time for community and coming together. It’s also a day that could change her life forever. 

With Abe (James Reynolds) by her side, she heads to the doctor’s office to find out the results of her biopsy. Will she be graced with good news? Or, will Paulina soon learn things are much worse than she ever anticipated? 

Important Conversations 

Meanwhile, Chanel (Raven Bowens), Johnny (Carson Boatman), Jada (Elia Cantu), and Rafe (Galen Gering) have an in-depth talk about some difficult issues. Chanel and Jada take the importance of this day seriously and are eager to educate. 

Also making dynamic talking points is Leo (Greg Rikaart). He takes a break from whistleblowing to write a heartfelt opt-ed about gay rights. He wouldn’t be where he is today without the generations before him fighting the good fight.

Mother to Fake-Mother 

Expect a bit of a twist when Nicole (Arianne Zucker) shares an interesting moment with Sloan (Jessica Serfaty). The nervous faux-mama could use some advice and who better to provide it than the baby’s real mother? Will this cause Sloan to break down completely and consider telling the truth?
