A hello, a goodbye, and some heartwarming returns are about to hit Days of our Lives. Here are three major moments to watch out for this week in Salem.

There’s A Hero

The week will start with a heartbreaking goodbye to John (the late Drake Hogestyn). It’s the moment we’ve been anticipating for months, since the news of Hogestyn’s death last September. The DAYS vet signed off on John’s death, and now we’re seeing it all play out on screen.

After being MIA for months on an ISA mission, John’s final act was retrieving the miracle drug that will save Bo’s (Peter Reckell) life. On Monday, Steve (Stephen Nichols) will deem his best friend a hero when he succumbs to his injuries as Bo receives the drug.

And The Hospital Goes To…

Later in the week, it will be a big day for Salem University Hospital. When the board meets, they’ll vote on who has new ownership of the Salem staple. As contenders Xander (Paul Telfer) and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) await the results, who do you think will come out on top? And could a third contender be thrown into the mix? Whatever happens, if a DiMera or Kiriakis claims the hospital, that will be a major move for a powerful Salem family.

Welcome Home, Will

While his stay is only temporary, on Friday, Will (Chandler Massey, whose return fans have been waiting for) returns to Salem and reunites with his grandmother. Will is here not only to remember John, but also to check in on his daughter, who’s already gotten herself into a sticky situation with Doug III (Peyton Meyer).
