Days of our Lives spoilers for Monday, January 1, 2024, show Tate coming across Holly in a terrible state as the tainted pills take effect. This isn’t the way anyone thought the teens would kick off the new year.
Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlights
Holly (Ashley Puzemis) has spent the last few weeks in a downward spiral. Between her obsession with Johnny (Carson Boatman), her failed attempts to catch his eye, the “death” of her baby brother, and spending her birthday alone (as we see here), it’s all too much. First, she turned to alcohol and now, she’s turning to dangerous pills to cope.
Unfortunately, the pills are tainted and she’s gone down…hard. And, sadly, it’s Tate (James Martin Mann) who discovers her. It’s obvious she’s overdosed so he races to save her life. This is a lot for both teens to handle.
How Did This Happen?
As you can imagine, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is beside herself over the whole scene. She’s barely holding on after losing one child. She can’t bear the thought of losing another. She hopes and prays her daughter will pull through.
Tate’s mom goes feral when Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) suggests this is her son’s fault. Tate isn’t the perfect child, but dealing with drugs is a far cry from vandalizing his school. How dare anyone think Tate would be involved in this?!

Also being called into question are Ava (Tamara Braun) and Stefan (Brandon Barash). Harris (Steve Burton) pulls them aside and asks them a series of harsh questions. Did they have something to do with this? That scene at the dock seems rather suspicious now, doesn’t it?
A Night To Remember
Outside of all that drama, Paulina (Jackée Harry) and Abe (James Reynolds) ring in the new year together. He may not remember her and she may be hiding her health woes from him, but none of that is going to stop them from having a lovely evening. Will they even share a bit of romance?
