The Devil has been in Salem for months now, but DAYS spoilers still aren’t clear about exactly what his long-term game plan is. He keeps breaking up couples. Why? What does he get out of it? And he’s also obsessed with Ciara Brady Weston and Ben Weston’s as-yet-unborn baby boy. Why?
DAYS Spoilers: Possession Is 9/10th of the Law
Why is the Devil so eager to get his hands on that child, when the fetus Jan Spears is carrying is actually a baby the Devil had a more active hand in creating? All he did to push Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara (Victoria Konefal) into procreating was force Dr. Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) to tell Ben the baby wasn’t likely to be born a psychopath — like the other members of his family. In order to conceive Jan’s baby, the Devil turned her into Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison). That’s an order of magnitude of higher involvement.
Days of our Lives: Two Plus One
But what if the Devil actually needs two possessed babies to make his ultimate dreams come true? What if Cin’s baby boy is destined to be mated with Jan’s baby girl? We’d say the Devil will age them up unnaturally quickly, but then we remember we’re in Salem, and that happens anyway. Which means nobody will notice.
DAYS Spoilers: World Domination
The Devil doesn’t just want an heir on Earth — he already had that with Rosemary…and Damien Thorn…all the historical classics. The Devil wants a legacy. The Devil wants an army. He wants his “son” and his “daughter” (don’t think about it too hard, they’re not technically biologically related, and, if they were, this is the Devil; you think incest bothers him?) to hatch him a whole brood of evil offspring. It’s the Village of the Dead AKA Salem. Think this wild speculation could happen? Let us know in the comments section below.
