DAYS Spoilers Wild Speculation: Is Lani Still Really Abe’s Daughter?

The Price family is full of lies and DAYS spoilers tease those skeletons are coming out of the closet fast and furious. Paulina Price is about to pay for her role in those secrets but we’re wondering if the buck stops there or if there is much, much more to Lani Grant’s birth story than Paulina and Olivia know. What if there is still a chance Lani is a Carver after all.

Twitter user John-Phillip (@Pop-Rag) got us thinking with his tweet in which he mused what if Paulina’s (Jackée Harry) child didn’t make it and what if Lani (Sal Stowers) really is the love child of Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo) and Abe Carver (James Reynolds)? How? You ask. Soap Hub gave it a shot, filling in the blanks but it is tricky and a bit of a shocking ride.

DOOL: A Secret Baby Swap?

What if when Tamara agreed to raise her sister’s baby, she was already pregnant? While the family thought she was faking a pregnancy for show, she was really with child. A child she shared with Abe. She went through the whole nine months unsure how to tell anyone, all while planning to also take Paulina’s baby right from the hospital. Then, things went off the rails.

Paulina has her baby and hands her off to her big sister. Seeing her pregnant, she thinks nothing of it, assuming her sister was prepping anyone who knows her to expect to see a baby. Tamara then goes home with the child and secretly goes into labor with her own. Unfortunately, shortly after (or during) her birthing process, something terrible and tragic happened with Paulina’s little girl and the baby passed away.

Here’s where things get interesting. As sad and horrible as the death was, it worked in Tamara’s favor. She was able to give birth to her secret baby and simply passed the tot off as her sister’s. No need to break Paulina’s heart or admit anything to their judgemental mom. All’s well-ish that ends well-ish.

Days of our Lives: A Tragic Fix

Sounds far-fetched, right? Well, yeah, but this is Salem, and wild things happen in this city (or at least conceived there). In fact, DAYS spoilers hint wilder things are happening right now. We have the second coming of Satan, two Kristens, multiple kidnappings, and we just finished a stint of multiple people rising from their graves. This story sounds a heck of a lot saner than all that. Plus, it would keep Lani and Abe connected, which is what all of us really want.
