Oh baby, what a week in Salem on DAYS.

After years of being unable to carry a child to full term, Nicole finally gives birth to a baby of her own, but her happiness is incredibly short-lived. The infant mysteriously vanishes, according to DAYS spoilers, and neither Nicole nor EJ know what to make of the horrific situation.
The very pregnant Nicole (Arianne Zucker) is in serious trouble this week. “I think something happened to my mom,” says a worried Holly (Ashley Puzemis).
It turns out Holly is absolutely right. Something has happened to her mother. Nicole ends up in a crash after swerving to avoid a car whose headlights are blinding her. Suddenly, Nicole is seen unconscious and slumped over the steering wheel, her car’s airbags deployed.
Leo (Greg Rikaart) slowly approaches the vehicle. A few moments later, Nicole is sitting on the ground outside the car and making a major announcement. “This baby is coming.” All Leo can do is shake his head, clearly not wanting to be the guy who makes the special delivery.
Nicole gives birth and ends up nestling her newborn in her arms for a few brief moments. Then Eric (Greg Vaughan) arrives on the scene and races toward his ex. “Where’s the baby?” he asks Nicole, who stares back at him silently.
Back at the accident scene, EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) pulls up in his car, gets out, and finds Eric tending to Nicole. Meanwhile, Dimitri (Peter Porte) arrives on Sloan’s doorstep with a baby in his arms.
Emotions run high as Tate (Jamie Martin Mann) comforts Holly with a hug, Eric shares a quiet moment with Marlena (Deidre Hall), and, later, Holly embraces her sobbing mother Nicole.
In town, Melinda (Tina Huang) is having an intense conversation with Sloan (Jessica Serfaty). Remember, Sloan and Eric are waiting to adopt a child of their own. “This could be the answer to your prayers,” Melinda tells her friend.
The intense action comes to a head at the police station, where an angry EJ confronts Leo as Rafe (Galen Gering) looks on. “Where is my son?” rages EJ.
Uh oh. Might that son be the baby Dimitri was holding in his arms earlier when he arrived at Sloan’s door? “Do you really think we can get away with this?” Sloan asks Melinda. Time will tell.
