Here’s your Days of our Lives spoilers video preview for the week of January 3 – January 7, 2022. Expect some tender special moments and a major reconciliation. Plus, it wouldn’t be Salem without at least one heated confrontation.
Days of our Lives: Happy 2022
Kicking things off is Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), who offers good wishes to everyone. “Happy New Year,” he delivers with a smile. It looks like some of the evening will be happy, but some of it not so much.
DOOL Spoilers: Let’s Celebrate
“The parties will be a smash,” teases the voice-over as the clips continue. At the DiMera house, champagne is flowing freely among the guests. Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) is on hand with his beloved Anna (Leann Hunley). EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) is attending solo, and so is Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) raises a glass to newlyweds Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) and Chanel Dupree DiMera (Raven Bowens), and Lani Price Grant (Sal Stowers) joins in on the toast.
Meanwhile, at Salem Square, a pair of other couples are ringing in the new year together. Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and Dr. Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) are enjoying a double-date dinner with the newly united Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and Roman Brady (Josh Taylor).

DAYS Spoilers: Cake War
Things take an unexpected twist when the evening festivities turn to Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). On the heels of finding out her boyfriend Rafe had sex with her best friend Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) and decapitating the duo’s stuffed bear, Duke, a jealous Ava is still fuming mad. Armed with a cake in her hand, Ava smashes it in Rafe’s face and exclaims, “Shove it.”
DAYS: Lumi Reunion
Then it’s back to happy times with Sami Brady DiMera (Alison Sweeney) and Lucas Horton (Bryan Datillo). “You’re my soulmate, and you always have been,” Sami tells her ex. Of course, she hasn’t a clue that Lucas is the one who kidnapped her and had her held hostage for months, and framed EJ for the crime.
The situation weighs on Lucas, who can’t quite believe his ears. “Are you going to go running back to EJ again, like you always do?” he asks her. Sami responds by pulling him into a passionate kiss. “Okay, that was a really good answer,” responds Lucas. Sami smiles, and it looks like the duo may have happily reconciled — at least for now.
