DAYS Spoilers Weekly Recap

This week, Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) took a bullet shortly after he and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) agreed to make things official and got engaged. Talk about bad timing. Sadly, Jake died, making it a short engagement and shrouding the DiMera family in yet another tragedy. Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) was surprised to learn that Jake and Ava got engaged shortly before he took the bullet that ended his life.

Elsewhere, Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) didn’t love that Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) was their new boss, which of course, thrilled her.

Finally, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) still had a pickle of a time trying to decide between Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) and Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman). It’s a wonder that one of them didn’t up and make the choice for her.

Next week, look for Ava’s unexpected demands to throw Gabi for a loop. Things might not go as smoothly as Gabi had hoped, but perhaps they will still go…

As for Orpheus (George DelHoy), he makes a surprising request of Marlena Evans (Deidra Hall), but will she grant it to him? That could make all the difference in the end.

Speaking of making a difference, Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) warns John Black (Drake Hogestyn) that they must take drastic action against the dreaded Orpheus — perhaps if they do, then they’ll be able to make a difference before it’s too late.
