DAYS Spoilers Speculation: Stephanie Feels Pulled To Alex, Not Chad

DAYS spoilers show us a Stephanie and Chad who are talking marriage and an Alex who allowed Theresa to drag him away from his new company for a dinner for two. That’s two happy couples for you!

Of course, happiness rarely seems to last for most couples in Salem. Will Stephanie (Abigail Klein) and Chad (Billy Flynn) ever actually make it to the altar? We predict this couple may never end up saying, “I do.”

Days of our Lives: Perfect Strangers

Stephanie and Chad kind of did everything backward. Or, at least, it feels that way, doesn’t it? As of now, they are living together and raising kids. But they’re not married. They barely dated, even. Stephanie hung out with Chad and his kids right after Abigail (Marci Miller) died to cheer everybody up. That’s not a date. That’s a condolence call.

And then Stephanie slept with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) right before PhoneGate — Alex turned off Stephanie’s phone while they were having sex, which led to her not being able to say goodbye to her dying mother (who didn’t even really die, anyway). After that, Stephanie flew straight into Chad’s arms. Which isn’t a courtship. It’s still a condolence call. And it’s a pretty bad basis for a marriage.

DAYS Spoilers: Other Parties

There is also the minor detail that Chad is obviously still in love with his late wife. And Stephanie…Stephanie sure didn’t look thrilled to see Alex out on a date with Theresa (Emily O’Brien), did she? What we’ve got here is a quadrangle with some unequal sides.

Chad still misses Abigail. And Stephanie still misses Alex. She can say all she wants to Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) about how she can imagine marrying Chad someday. But her lack of enthusiasm is visible as prominently as if she was shining a beacon atop it. Chad may propose. And Stephanie may even accept. But Alex will always come between them even when he isn’t in the room.
