Of course, the truth always has to come out sooner or later in Salem. The only question is when, who, how…and why will Sloan’s (Jessica Serfaty) truth finally come out?
DAYS: Honesty Is Such a Lonely Word
Sloan actually seems sincere when she frets that Eric (Greg Vaughan) will now never to raise either of his children — the one she miscarried…and the one she lied to Nicole (Arianne Zucker) about. She believes that her lies are what caused her own baby to die, and figures she can wipe the karmic slate clean by telling Eric, Nicole — and EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) — what she did. But she also knows that will destroy any chance she and Eric could have of a future together.

She wants to confess. But she can’t. She wants to be a good person. But she can’t. She wants to lift this curse off herself. But it would require all but delivering Eric to Nicole gift-wrapped for the picking. And Sloan can’t do that either.
Which brings us to the headscratcher: Was Sloan a worse person when she was doing bad things and telling herself they were good, or now that she knows she’s doing bad things…but choosing to do them, anyway? Discuss amongst yourselves.
DAYS Spoilers: Out of My Hands
But what Sloan wants doesn’t ultimately matter, as her secret will be discovered by someone else, and they’ll beat her to the truth-telling punch. Melinda (Tina Huang) sounds like the most obvious suspect. But she’s not big enough on the canvas. It should be somebody with a larger stake, like EJ, or Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) — sticking up for her BFF. Or perhaps even Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) — to cover up her own paternity lies — something to make the story ping off in a completely different direction.
