Anna DiMera (Leann Hunley) wakes up without Tony DiMera (Thaao Penghlis) but she does get a surprise — Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller) delivering a dozen roses. This is hardly a consolation prize.

Her troubles may soon be over, however. Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) shows up at the hospital while Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) gets a check-up and he has the solution. Is this the antidote? Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Maggie Horton (Suzanne Rogers) are reluctant to trust it — but not Anna! She jabs that needle right in Sarah’s arm! Begone Renée DuMonde! Will she get her wish?

We’re sure this turn of events won’t sit well with Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), but what’s a gal to do? It doesn’t help that every time Sarah’s around Xander, he gets caught up in his old feelings. Gwen puts her faith in Xander’s love and hopes it’s enough to carry them through should the worst happen.

Meanwhile, Belle Black Brady (Martha Madison) and Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer) meet at the bar for a drink. The couple could use some downtime after the Devil drama. They better enjoy it because that’s nothing compared to what’s coming next.
