The DAYS spoilers for Friday, September 17, 2021, tease the past being prologue, a husband put on the spot, and an imminent diagnosis. You won’t want to miss a minute of this brand new episode.
With Will Horton’s (Chandler Massey) blessing, Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is moving forward with casting for The Sami Brady Story. But while the youth does his best to interest twin sister Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) in playing the title role, Sami Brady’s mother, and stepfather worry about all the ancient history that will be dredged up when filming commences.
And by ancient history, we of course mean the fact that Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn) engaged in an adulterous affair (she was still married to Roman Brady at the time) which produced a child (Belle Black Brady), sent Sami spiraling into a bulimia binge, and eventually left Marlena’s stained soul vulnerable to Satanic influence.
Speaking of lovelorn Roman (Josh Taylor), look for him and former wife-to-be Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) to share a tender cross at the Brady Pub – one which does not go unnoticed by Lucas Horton. Will Kate take her son’s advice, and open herself up to the possibility of rekindling what she and Roman once shared…which was torn asunder by his presumed death at Marlena’s hand (Psyche! He wasn’t really a goner, and she wasn’t a hockey-masked serial killer) and her affair with a drug-addled John.
Doug Williams’s (Bill Hayes) test results are in, and both he and wife Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) ready themselves for the diagnosis. Will Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) confirm their greatest fear – that Doug is suffering from Alzheimer’s?
A properly contrite Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) made his apologies to Abigail Deveraux DiMera (Marci Miller), and his pitch for her to rejoin him in Salem – and Abigail agreed that it was time…but before she packs her suitcase, she’s got a demand, and she fully expects Chad to comply.
