Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), who has made a career of seeming to die only to pop back up — usually at a time most inconvenient for those associated with him –has got a question for Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow): would she do him the honor of marrying him?

Opposite that request, look for Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) to make a shocking suggestion to Brady Black (Eric Martsolf). We’re going to go out on a limb here and guess that it has nothing to do with bringing a third into their boudoir. What are the chances that another couple in Salem would be contemplating such a move?

DOOL Spoilers: Is The End Near?

Dr. Marlena Evans Black (Deidre Hall) has also practically made a career out of cheating death. There was the serial killer she narrowly avoided meeting, though he did get his strangle-happy hands on her twin sister. There was the time she tumbled head over stiletto heels off the side of a multi-story office building. Then there was the plane that supposedly exploded with her inside, and the pit that she was shoved into accidentally on purpose, and the time that she was possessed by the Devil who tried to kill her from the inside. Oh, and who can forget when she seemed to meet her maker during her reign as the Salem Stalker or when she took that header through a stained-glass window? Also, hello — bullet fired into her by mortal enemy Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk)!

All in all, Marlena has had a damn good run, and if it indeed is coming to an end as she fears, at least she’s lived more than most. Still, that’s cold comfort for her beloved John Black (Drake Hogestyn), who can’t imagine a world without Doc…and why would he want to?
