The Days of our Lives spoilers for February 1-5, 2021, tease Laura Horton getting something off her chest, Eli and Lani finally getting a clue, plus so much more.
A paternity test identifies Jack (Matthew Ashford) as Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) father, confirming at least part of the young woman’s story. But Jack refuses to admit any fault where her upbringing was concerned – he’s resolute in his argument that he NEVER spoke to Gwen’s mother and that he did not pay her off.
A furious Gwen lashes out, and Jack attempts to pacify her with a monetary offer. In response, Gwen slaps him across the face!
Jack then goes home and finds his wife in the middle of an intense conversation with her visiting mother, Laura (Jaime Lyn Bauer). And boy does Laura have a story to tell.
Turns out, SHE was the one who spoke to Tiffany Rizczech all those years ago, and SHE was the one who paid her the hush money. In the aftermath of the confession, Jack unloads his fury onto his mother-in-law (and former lover), then realizes that he has to reach out to Gwen and explain the truth.
Eli (Lamon Archey) and Lani (Sal Stowers) make inroads in tracking the devious Dr. Raynor (Victoria Platt), just as Vivian (Linda Dano) begins to settle into her new role as Jules and Carver’s new guardian.
When cornered, Raynor swears that she’s prepared to cooperate and reunite the Grants with their twins…but she has very little to offer. However, what information she does yield – the kidnapper phoned a partner and addressed them as “Madame” – proves invaluable.
Lani and Eli quickly link Vivian to the scam and set off to find the madwoman and reclaim their babies.
Brady (Eric Martsolf) emerges from his coma and finds Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) at his bedside – then he has to deal with Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and her fury regarding his lies about his and Chloe’s involvement.
In other Salem news, Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) kisses Chloe, Tony (Thaao Penghlis) gives Jake (Brandon Barash) some sound business advice, Gabi (Camila Banus) makes Xander (Paul Telfer) a tempting offer, and Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) provides some pertinent intel.
Meanwhile, an imprisoned Ciara (Victoria Konefal) fights to get home to Ben (Robert Scott Wilson), whom she may cross paths with sooner rather than later. An opportunity to escape presents itself, and Ciara takes it without hesitation!
Finally, Nicole (Arianne Zucker) receives upsetting news about Eric (Greg Vaughan)…and turns to Rafe (Galen Gering) for comfort! Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
