The Days of our Lives spoilers for August 17-21, 2020 reveal a heated confrontation and a shocking collapse, as well as the return of a prodigal son, and so much more.
Days of our Lives Spoilers Highlights
With Allie (Lindsay) still incommunicado, Sami (Alison Sweeney) exercises her rights as baby boy Horton’s grandmother by slapping Nicole (Arianne Zucker) and Eric (Greg Vaughan) with a restraining order and moving herself and the newborn into John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) abode.
Nicole and Eric head to the address ready to do battle with Sami but they are placated and escorted out by John…but he is far from Sami’s champion. Once alone, he unleashes a torrent of pent up frustration upon his stepdaughter and he receives just as much venom from her in return.
During the course of the recrimination, John suddenly collapses to the floor, forcing Sami to summon an ambulance. At the hospital, Marlena is informed of her husband’s grave condition while Sami keeps mum about the true reason for his sudden turn for the worse.
The Prodigal Son Returns
Philip’s (Jay Kenneth Johnson) return to the Kiriakis fold leaves Xander (Paul Telfer) terrified that he will once again be thrown to the wolves and replaced in Victor’s (John Aniston) favor by yet another relation.
And it appears that Xander may indeed have cause for his concerns. Philip lets it be known to his father that he wants to assume the vacant position of CEO of Titan – and just when things were looking up for Xander!
