Philip (Jay Kenneth Johnson) is joined by his secret partner, who is revealed to be the very much alive Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Ava makes her displeasure with Philip known and orders him he had better make good on their deal – which involves him laundering money through Titan in exchange for his gambling debts being covered.

Philip upsets his partner by speculating that she’s returned to Salem in order to reconnect with Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), her former lover. Ava flatly denies the charge… then heads straight for Steve’s front door.

Wedding Belle Blues

Belle (Martha Madison) awakens on her wedding day full of joy at the prospect of once again becoming Mrs. Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer). However, her mood is considerably depressed when Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) darkens her door.

Belle orders Jan to leave – immediately and without delay. But Jan insists on offering her (supposedly) heartfelt congratulations on Belle and Shawn’s big day. And she’s even brought a wedding a present…which Belle foolishly accepts.

DAYS Odds and Ends

In other Salem news, Steve and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) argue about Tripp’s (Lucas Adams) innocence, and the subject of their ire does his best to convince Allie (Lindsay Arnold) not to pursue rape charges in London.

Meanwhile, Gwen (Emily O’Brien) continues to step up her vendetta against the Deveraux family. She spies on a smooch between Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Jake (Brandon Barash), then stokes Chad’s (Billy Flynn) jealousy over the bond developing between his wife and brother.

Finally, Jennifer (Cady McClain) and Kate have an intense confrontation, Charlie (Mike Manning) and Claire (Isabel Durant) grow closer – which results in the former getting the third degree from Shawn and John (Drake Hogestyn). Plus, a suspicious Lani (Sal Stowers) begs Brady to level with her. Days of our Lives airs weekdays on NBC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
