The Days of our Lives spoilers for the abbreviated week of June 7-9, 2021, tease an inconvenient homecoming, a pair of in-laws growing ever closer, and so much more.
Sami (Alison Sweeney) perseveres in her endeavor to expose Nicole (Arianne Zucker) as an adulteress, though she’s momentarily stymied by her rival who seems to produce substantial proof to back up her claims of slumbering in a room at the Salem Inn all by her lonesome.
Sami retreats back to John (Drake Hogestyn) and Marlena’s (Deidre Hall) penthouse and attempts to recruit Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) to her cause…but he rightfully points out his ex’s sheer hypocrisy.
Then, he surprises Sami by wondering if there’s still a chance for them to pick up where they left off all those years previous. When Sami hesitates, Lucas responds by pulling her into a kiss.
Seconds later, a knock at the door heralds the return of Sami’s current hubby – EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). He’s come back to renew his relationship with Sami, take his rightful place as head of DiMera Enterprises, and right a plethora of other wrongs…and none of it sits well with Lucas.
Abe (James Reynolds) tracks Paulina (Jackée Harry) down and he happily informs her that Chanel’s application to open and operate a bakery in Town Square has been approved – and he’s immediately taken aback by Paulina’s indignant reaction.
However, the mood is considerably lightened when the conversation turns to matters other than Paulina’s budding empire…and there’s even the hint that the two flirts will actually kiss! Will Paulina is called away before anything can proceed further?
In other Salem news, Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) make a little time for romance – and a dinner date with Bonnie (Judi Evans) and Justin (Wally Kurth) – while Nicole contemplates confessing all to Eric (Greg Vaughan), who’s decided to pop back into town after all.
Meanwhile, Allie (Lindsay Arnold) seeks counseling from Marlena, Tripp (Lucas Adams) tattles on Dr. Snyder (Michael Lowry), and the not-so-good doctor is threatened by Xander (Paul Telfer) to leave Gwen (Emily O’Brien) be.
Finally, Chanel and Eli (Lamon Archey) have another awkward encounter, and the former makes a puzzling discovery.
