Steve (Stephen Nichols) is happy again: He has his eyesight back, he and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) are more in love than ever, and the two of them celebrated a huge milestone in their relationship.

He’s also back to work and on a big case all thanks to Adrienne (Judi Evans).

As far as he knew, everything was right with the world. Heck, he’s even excited about his best friend John’s (Drake Hogestyn) upcoming wedding to Marlena (Deidre Hall). But his perfect world is in for a huge jolt.

Steve is thrown when he overhears a private conversation between Kayla and Jennifer (Melissa Reeves). Will he learn what his loving wife had to do to get him back his vision, or is this a Salem fake-out and instead he learns another secret?

A Shoulder To Lean On
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s fiancé is doing what he does best, listening to someone’s problems.

This time it’s Chloe (Nadia Bjorlin) up at bat. She tells Eric that she has concerns about her relationship with Lucas (Bryan Dattilo).

Is their sweet reunion about to hit the skids already? Is she afraid he’s more serious about their union than she is… or vice versa? Even more important, will Eric have any words of wisdom for her?

Jennifer’s sleuthing really put Victor (John Aniston) and Eve (Kassie DePaiva) on the spot. Victor agrees to keep Eve’s secret from Brady (Eric Martsolf) — but in true Victor fashion, he wants something in return.

Eve has to know that Victor never does anything — especially for her — out of the kindness of his heart but what could he want from Eve that she would be able to deliver?
