Medical personnel and other officials are recommending folks stay six feet apart from one another to avoid further spread of the coronavirus. Soap vet Patrika Darbo (Days of our Lives; The Bold and the Beautiful) took to social media to remind folks of this.
The Emmy-winning star posted a photo showing some lines outside of a Costco and people were not standing far away enough from one another. “Lines…people not 6 feet apart and they’re Seniors!” Darbo wrote. “No lines Smart and Final. Be Safe.”
Darbo’s followers praised the star for her efforts to have people stand further apart than they appear to be doing in her post. “I appreciate how all the stores strive to manage people inside stores but it doesn’t make any sense unless they manage people in the line,” noted @639ho639. “People can get infected by the time they go inside stores.”
Darbo joined the daytime community over 20 years ago as conniving Nancy Wesley on DAYS. After a run on that show, she continued to appear in primetime and film. In 2017, BB tapped her to play Shirley Spectra, the sister of Sally Spectra (played by the late, great Darlene Conley).
Darbo’s also delved into the digital drama series world appearing on The Bay, Ladies of the Lake, and, most recently, Studio City. She also reprised Nancy for the DOOL App series Last Blast Reunion, in which several of the Last Blast gang were killed off before it was revealed that it was all in the mind of Jan Spears (Heather Lindell), who wrote a screenplay in which she’d enact revenge on her former friends.
In 2016, Darbo won the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series for her role as Margot Mullen in Acting Dead. To check out the latest news about the coronavirus, go to the Center for Disease Control’s website here.
