It’s A Soap Opera Star Extravaganza In A Mermaid For Christmas

If you love soap stars and holiday movies, there’s a film premiering soon that you won’t want to miss! A Mermaid For Christmas, starring a bevy of daytime actors, is coming your way!

A Mermaid For Christma stars Kyle Lowder (ex-Brady/ex-Rex, Days of Our Lives; ex-Rick, The Bold and the Beautiful), Kathleen Gati (Dr. Obrecht, General Hospital), Arianne Zucker (Nicole, DAYS), and Jessica Morris (ex-Jen, One Life to Live).

Described as a movie that combines “classic Christmas themes with a fantasy element that only a mermaid can provide,” A Mermaid For Christmas is written and directed by multiple Daytime Emmy-nominee and Indie Series Award-winner Michael Caruso (Winterthorne. Ladies Of The Lake). “We hope that people everywhere enjoy watching the film as much as we enjoyed making it,” Caruso says.

“From the moment Michael shared his vision of combining a mermaid and Christmas along with the heart-warming message that this film delivers, I have been excited to share it with the world,” says Lowder. “The work on display from everyone involved, both in front of and behind the cameras, is inspiring.”

A Mermaid For Christmas is available for rental or purchase on Amazon Prime Video, starting Tuesday, November 26.

As you can see in the trailer, Lowder plays Travis Hunter, a man who finds himself deeply drawn to a mermaid, Daphne, played by Morris, after spending only a day with her! Gati plays Connie Hunter, Travis’ mother. Zucker plays Tiffany Deveraux, Sheree J. Wilson (ex-April, Dallas) is Theodora. Nadia Bjorlin (ex-Chloe, DAYS) is Vanessa. Emma Basler Demirjian plays Maya. The film’s narrator will sound very familiar to soap fans — it’s Emmy-award winning actor Ian Buchanan (ex-Duke, General Hospital; ex-Ian, DAYS; ex-James, BB).
